Student Leadership

Lion Ambassadors

Lion ambassadors are student leaders.  They are exemplary in academics, personal conduct and executive skills.  They are proud to be Legacy students and exhibit school spirit in word and action.  They communicate well and are mature, hard-working and honest.  They are reliable, self-directed and are great examples to the younger students on campus.  Finally, they are an extension of the school leadership team

Lion ambassadors are students that demonstrate a high commitment to the college bound mission and stand ready to help at all times.  They are chosen by the school principal and take on extra assignments willingly and courageously.  They are proud LECHS Lion Ambassadors!

Lions of the Month

High school students must integrate seamlessly into a new school environment of Carnegie units and GPAs.  As we embark in this collective endeavor, Legacy Charter School will applaud and recognize the special efforts of our Early College High School students as they prepare for higher education.  The Lions of the Month Program will recognize LECHS students who exhibit qualities consistent with the school’s overall mission.  On a monthly basis, LECHS core subject teachers will nominate one of their students as a “Lion of the Month.”  All students nominated will be honored late in the month with a certificate and are invited to attend a special executive luncheon with Principal, Ed Roman and teacher leaders.  The criteria for nominations are:

  • Mastery Learning
  • Academic Improvement
  • Citizenship/Personal Conduct
  • Personal Reading Effort
  • Work ethic

Please encourage your students to behave and perform in ways that merit this worthy recognition.  Lions of the Month will be selected every month between September and April.  The April Celebration will recognize a Grand Lion of the Year!
