Tom Moran


Tom Moran is a 1975 graduate of Salem State University in Salem, Massachusetts.  He completed graduate school at the University of Louisville in 1982 and joined the staff at the Greenville Unit of Shriner’s Hospital for Children.  Tom later accepted a position with the Greenville Hospital System (GHS) Children’s Hospital in 1989 and has held a variety of administrative positions at GHS over the past years.  He is currently the Director of the GHS University Medical Center Clinics and an Adjunct Professor at the University Of South Carolina Graduate School Of Social Work.

Tom has also served on the state and local board of directors of Family Connection of South Carolina, the partnership board of the Center for Developmental Services, the Greenville County Medical Examiners Commission, and the advisory boards of the Greenville County Health Network and the Greenville County Nurse Family Partnership.  Since his first position out of college, working with street gangs in Boston, he has been an advocate for children’s issues. Tom has four children and enjoys woodworking and photography.
