Title I

Legacy Early College is a Title I School

Legacy Early College is a Title I School. We receive extra support funding for academic initiatives/needs, as well as for technology, teacher professional development, and parenting programs. The current Title I Plan and other Federal Program Plans are always available in our offices and on our website for review. At least once a month throughout the year, parents can become involved with Federal Program Meetings, various programs, and other special activities that are guided with Title I initiatives and other funding. Families and community members are welcome to all meetings and we encourage you to come be involved in planning every chance you have!

What is Title I?

Title I, Part A of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) provides financial assistance to states and school districts to meet the needs of educationally at-risk students. The goal of Title I is to provide extra instructional services and activities which support students identified as failing or most at risk of failing the state’s challenging performance standards in mathematics, reading, and writing.
