Arts
Elementary scholars are introduced to strings and general music as early as K5. These scholars learn the basics of music as well as instruments. Later in the elementary program, scholars and invited to join a performance ensemble where they perform at various locations around the Greenville area. Scholars have achieved Superior evaluations at their regional competition.
To support this program, the school’s ultimate goal is to own 100 percent of its instruments. Foundations like Classics for Kids are steadily making this goal a reality for LEC, and also are enabling our educators to spend more time doing what they love— teaching the next generation of trained instrumentalists.
Legacy’s 5th through 12th grade Strings Ensemble scholars are expected to become exceptional performers, able to read music well and handle their instruments with mastery.
Middle School Scholars have the opportunity to continue their Music Program in Middle School through various avenues. Scholars engage in a learning program that seeks to educate the whole scholar, with musical training as an integral part.
High School Scholars explore the world of Musical Theater, Dance, Art or may continue their musical training at the same time developing musical discipline and professionalism. At Legacy, scholars can confidently expand their knowledge of art in their chosen discipline.
