• Must be accountable, meeting all State/Federal standards for scholar achievement;
• Governed by a board elected by parents and teachers;
• Has flexibility to innovate with the curriculum and faculty;
• Requires parental involvement;
• Must meet the guidelines set forth in its charter.

• An autonomous high school located on or near a college with an enrollment of less than 110 scholars per grade;
• Supplements course offerings by enrolling scholars in college courses for secondary and post-secondary credit (dual credit);
• Early Colleges graduate scholars with a high school diploma and some post-secondary credits;
• Early Colleges encourage scholars to remain for a fifth year to graduate with both a high school diploma and an associate’s degree;
• Early Colleges are associated with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Middle College National Consortium.

For scholars...
who want a small school with an individualized learning program;
who want to begin taking college courses while in high school – free;
who are especially interested in the programs offered at the Greenville Technical College and / or North Greenville University.

To ensure our scholars are prepared for cold weather, we would ask parents to make sure to send their scholars to school with warm clothing on cold days. On days where the temperature drops below 32 degrees, all P.E. classes will be held indoors.

Except in an emergency, messages will be taken at the front office for children so that classroom instruction is not interrupted.

A lost and found area is maintained in the school.  To help us return items to your child, we recommend putting your child’s name on items of clothing, coats, sweaters, lunch boxes, etc. Every few months, we donate unclaimed articles to charitable organizations.

All scholars may have breakfast and lunch at no charge.

• The school requires a note/form from parents or guardians under the following circumstances:
• To explain an absence
• To explain a tardy
• To request early dismissal
• To excuse the child from recess or physical education
• To change daily transportation procedures
• Permission for child to go home with another child
• To request a change in bus transportation
• For scholars to attend a field trip
• Authorization for medication
• Emergency treatment form
• Any other special issue needing to be addressed

School hours are Monday through Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm.  

A parent or guardian must sign them into the front office.
